KMR Founder, Marty Rifkin, Honored by Department of Defense for Extraordinary Support of Employees Who Serve in the National Guard and Reserve
Vancouver, WA — The Washington Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), awarded Marty Rifkin with the Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of its employees who serve in the Washington National Guard and Reserve.
The ESGR Patriot Award was created to publicly recognize American Employers who provide extraordinary patriotic support and cooperation to their employees and answering their nation’s call to serve. Supportive employers are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s National Guard and Reserve units. ESGR is an agency of the Department of Defense.
“Over the years we have been fortunate to win many awards, but this particular honor is very special. We consider it a privilege to support our employees called to military service,” Rifkin said. “And we would like to thank the ESGR for continuing to promote the importance of employer support.”
Kevin Jones, the employee who nominated the company, has just been called up to active duty. He said they have been very supportive of my duties as a soldier and recognize the valuable experience my military training brings to the company.” The pediatric service center will feature a large gym and track, an obstacle course, sensory gym, observation and treatment rooms and a large waiting room to replace the cramped space currently being used.
As the 1.2 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions with America’s borders and beyond, ESGR will continue to be the resource for the employers of American soldiers. ESGR provides education, consultation, and if necessary mediation for employers of Guard and Reserve employees.
