The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes raised a record in donations from its 2016 annual gala and auction, where KMR Group Foundation served as a key sponsor.

The $260,000 raised will play a significant role in allowing NWABA to continue expansion of its programming of sports for the blind and visually impaired in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

“To see how the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes has been able to dramatically increase the number of people it serves has been a tremendous experience for me, personally, and for KMR,” said Karen Holterhoff, KMR director and NWABA board member. “The support shown for the athletes validates the commitment the Foundation has made to NWABA.”

KMR began its partnership with NWABA in 2014 by providing a grant to hire the organization’s first programming director.
