Winter Warmth: KMR Group Foundation Distributes Essential Items to Vancouver Community

KMR Group Foundation - St. Vincent de Paul and St. Andrew's

As winter approaches, the KMR Group Foundation remains dedicated to providing warmth and comfort to those in need. This December, we proudly distributed winter essential items through trusted community partners in the Vancouver, Washington, area. Each set was thoughtfully curated to include emergency mylar blankets, beanies, gloves, and socks to help our neighbors stay warm. For children, we also included a velvet art marker set, adding a touch of creativity and joy to their season.

This year, we partnered with St. Vincent de Paul and St. Andrew’s, two local organizations with deep-rooted ties and insights into the community. By collaborating with these dedicated partners, we ensure that each winter essential set reaches those who need it most, extending a helping hand and a warm heart during the holiday season.

Strengthening Community Through Strategic Partnerships

Our partnership with St. Vincent de Paul Vancouver exemplifies the power of local collaboration. Known for their comprehensive assistance programs, St. Vincent de Paul has established itself as a cornerstone of support in Vancouver, offering vital services from food and clothing assistance to housing and emergency aid. Their extensive network and deep understanding of community needs ensure our winter essential items reach families facing immediate challenges.

“We are so thankful for this partnership!” – St. Vincent de Paul Vancouver

St. Andrew’s brings additional depth to our distribution efforts through their involvement with the Winter Hospitality Overflow (WHO) program. This vital initiative provides crucial shelter space and services during Vancouver’s coldest months, ensuring individuals experiencing homelessness have access to both warm sanctuary and essential resources.

“The response was immediate… Families and students come to rely on the [essential packs] for just these kinds of daily essentials.” – Jane Seidel, WHO Operations Coordinator at St. Andrew Lutheran Church

Making a Difference Together

Our winter essential pack initiative reflects our commitment to keeping our community warm, safe, and uplifted this winter season. We’re honored to continue working alongside St. Vincent de Paul and St. Andrew’s, whose on-the-ground knowledge and outreach make a meaningful impact in the lives of those they serve.

In addition, through St. Andrew’s collaboration with the Winter Hospitality Overflow (WHO) program, our winter essentials reach even more individuals facing the toughest conditions of the season. Together with our partners, we’re building a stronger, more resilient community, one set at a time.
